September 24, 2012

This was a very interesting week.  We are finally getting used to the bus system here, and learning where everything is.  We have found a lot of less active to teach, and are finally finding the houses of the investigators that the elders left for us.  We marked a baptismal date for an investigator.  His name is Kinder and he lives very far away and alone.  It is really hard to visit him because we have to coordinate with members to go with us and also we have to travel kind of far to get there.  But we are figuring it out.  He is really cool, and likes to help people.  I don’t think that he exactly understands that this is the ONLY true church, he just wants to be baptized.  So we are working with him.  We will see how everything turns out.

Another cool thing that happened this week was at the house of a less active member named Fran.  She is only home on Sundays and uses this as an excuse not to go to church.  But she is always waiting for us and has some type of treat ready for us.  One week it was cake, this week it was something that Ii don’t know the name of with coconut.  We didn’t have a whole lot of time this week so I just gave her a quick little message.  I talked a little about prophets and invited her to General Conference.  When I asked her if she would go she answered with a solid YES!  Woohoo!!  I really hope that she follows through.

That is all for this week.  We are going to have interviews the first week of October.  Tell everyone hi for me.
