June 3, 2012

Woo Hoo! Tyler is finally graduated! The party looks like it was really cool.  I can't believe that he is already graduated! Time is going by so fast.  It is already June and it still feels like I only arrive last week.  This week was a really good week.  We had the baptism of a kid in the ward, Helamã.  This was really cool because we met 3 girls the day before that are very interested in the church.  Two of them are sisters and their mom is a less-active member and the other is their friend.  They are young women age and already know a lot about the church but still have a lot of questions.  They are a lot younger than us but I feel like I would still be friends with them if we had met in just regular life.  Anyway, the two sisters went to the baptism and said that they really liked it.  It was all perfect timing.  Hopefully they will accept the gospel and help their mom come back to the church.  That would be pretty much perfect.

The big news of the week is that Sister Borges is engaged.  Our friend Williams was on Facebook and saw that she was engaged.  Everyone we tell this too is super shocked because it was so fast.  I am not so shocked because she was obviously missing having a companion with her all the time, especially her last companion.  But she is engaged the Elder Souza, an elder that served the same mission as us, which is why I don’t know his first name.  Everyone only knows his last name here.

Another piece of cool news is that we get to go to the Manaus Temple dedication!!  It will be transmitted to our Stake center (the chapel that we attend) Sister Moda is having white handkerchiefs made for all the missionaries in our zone.  We are all excited for it!!  Anyway, I love you all!

pictures----

1.  A picture of me with our favorite street.  It is just lovely isn’t it?  It is even better when it is raining.

2.  This is a picture of Siste Sena, me and Williams.  He is really cool and helps us out a ton.  In his family his mom and sister are also members but he is the only one that goes to church or anything.  If everyone in this church had a testimony as strong as his this church would be 3 million times stronger.
